At Price Family Dealerships, we are committed to supporting our community in meaningful ways, and this week, Toyota Sunnyvale had the privilege of donating a Toyota Corolla to a dedicated young educator and active community member, in honor of a beloved neighbor.
Carla, a neighbor of Kevin Pang, General Manager of Toyota Sunnyvale, recently sought his advice on trading in her old Corolla for a new hybrid model. Seeing an opportunity to do something special, Kevin came up with the idea to honor Carla’s late husband, OJ, who passed away last year. Although Carla’s traded-in Corolla had low mileage, its faded paint made it a candidate for wholesale, but Kevin envisioned transforming this vehicle into something much more meaningful.
The recipient of this gift is Ana, a 22-year-old school teacher and active church member. Ana has been a tremendous asset to her community and a transformative influence within her family. After over a year of involvement with the Cadillac Winchester Neighborhood Association, one of the most challenging neighborhoods in San Jose, Ana was recently elected as one of the youngest presidents of the Association’s board. Her impact doesn’t stop there—she continues to pour her passion into education as a teacher at Boynton High School. Ana is just at the beginning of her calling, and we are excited to be a part of her journey. She is truly deserving of this gift.
Kevin reached out to Joe McKenna, the owner of Golden West Collision Center, who generously offered to repaint the entire car. The service team at Toyota Sunnyvale also went above and beyond by performing a full service and replacing all four tires. What could have been just another wholesale vehicle was transformed into a life-changing gift.
We are immensely proud to be part of a community that values generosity and compassion. This donation is a reflection of the collaborative spirit that defines Price Family Dealerships, and we are grateful to everyone who played a role in making this possible.
